UK Government Clears Jet Airways

Clearing Jet Airways for its UK operations, the British Government has said that it has no concerns about aviation security and terrorism with regard to operations of Jet Airways.

This was disclosed in a letter written by the British High Commissioner to India, Sir Michael Arthur, to the Minister for Civil Aviation states that the airline remains welcome to fly to the UK.

The High Commissioner's letter comes in the wake of reports that the British Government was concerned about aviation security and terrorism in view of the arrest of an airline employee in London in connection with the foiled bid to blow up the US bound aircraft.
