LIC To Foray Into Credit Card Business

In an attempt to cash in on the Credit Card business and to add value to its customer base, insurance major the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is all set to hop on to the credit card business bandwagon soon.

LIC is most likely to foray into the credit card business via a joint venture route. LIC currently has a rough estimate clientele base of around 160 million customers.
